Christians have differing opinions on how to engage with the world around them.  Some believe they have to flee the world, to stay holy.  Others believe they have to fight the world, reforming it according to Christian values.  The Bible's vision is neither of those two extremes, but rather a series of callings that are to shape the attitudes and actions of believers toward the world.
